Pianist

Atte Kohtala (born 2007) is a pianist from Savonlinna, Finland. He has been involved in a variety of music studies at the Savonlinna Music and Dance Institute since early childhood, specializing in piano under Anja Forsberg from 2016 onward. In the summer of 2021, he was accepted into the Youth Piano Academy Finland, and from the fall of that year, his teachers were Niklas Pokki and Kalla Luhtasela from the Savonlinna Music and Dance Institute. Currently, Kohtala studies at the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki under Niklas Pokki.

Kohtala has participated in Paavali Jumppanen's masterclasses at the Savonlinna Music Academy for seven years and has attended Jumppanen's spring courses at the Savonlinna Music and Dance Institute regularly since 2017. During comprehensive school, he was part of a music-focused class and later attended a music-oriented high school. He has performed at the Mänttä Music Festival, Mikkeli Music Festival, as a soloist with the Savonlinna Orchestra in the Young Soloists' Concert of the Savonlinna Music and Dance Institute, as well as with the Savonlinna Quartet.
